Capabilities

Six service categories. One Part 145 roof.

Bench, install, troubleshooting, panels, and ATC towers. Whatever you fly — or operate — we can probably work on it.

01 · On-aircraft

Aircraft Troubleshooting & Maintenance

On-aircraft diagnostic work and corrective maintenance across the major airframes — pistons, business jets, helicopters, and unmanned systems. We don't swap boxes until we've isolated the fault.

  • Avionics & autopilot fault isolation
  • Pitot-static and transponder certifications (91.411, 91.413)
  • ADS-B Out / In install and verification
  • Annual avionics functional check support

02 · Send-in

Avionics Bench Repair & Maintenance

Component-level bench repair using current test and calibration equipment. Send-in service for individual owners and partner shops — we provide written findings and an itemized estimate before any work proceeds.

  • Comm/Nav radios, transponders, ADC, DME
  • Indicators, gyros, encoders
  • Audio panels and intercoms
  • Full calibration to manufacturer spec

03 · Install + repair

Autopilot, Radios & Instruments

Authorized to install and service the major autopilot, radio, and instrument lines. Whether you're retrofitting a digital autopilot into a legacy aircraft or upgrading nav-to-WAAS, we handle the install and the paperwork.

  • Garmin, Avidyne, S-TEC / Genesys autopilots
  • WAAS GPS retrofits and IFR navigators
  • PFD/MFD upgrades and primary instrument replacements
  • STC research and approval guidance

04 · Power & wiring

Electrical Components & Power Systems

Root-cause focused electrical work — we trace problems back to the source rather than chasing symptoms. Generators, alternators, starters, batteries, wiring harnesses, lighting, and bus management.

  • Generator / alternator repair and overhaul referrals
  • Starter and battery diagnostics
  • Harness fabrication and repair
  • Bus tie / split-bus troubleshooting

05 · Design + fab

Aircraft Panels

Custom panel design and fabrication — full retrofits and partial upgrades. CAD work, layout, fabrication, and install. Pure glass, analog, or sensible hybrids.

  • CAD-designed panel cutouts and labels
  • Lemo / D-sub harness integration
  • Backup instrument planning
  • Pre-install layout previews

06 · A rare capability

Non-Federal ATC Tower Install & Maintenance

Kings Avionics holds the FAA certification required to install, certify, and maintain non-Federal air traffic control towers. If your airport operates a tower outside the federal program, we can keep it operational and in compliance.

  • Initial tower install and certification
  • Recurrent maintenance and calibration
  • Comm, radar, and recording systems
  • Inspection support and documentation
